International Coaching Week is fast approaching, so to celebrate, why not follow these 3 simple steps:
1. Sign up for Azure’s ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring
2. Undertake the qualification
3. Receive your certificate
Ok, maybe we’re making it sound simpler than it is. But 1,2,3 is important for another reason – it is the number of people (that’s one hundred and twenty three!) that have gained their ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring through Azure Consulting. That’s not including the many from previous programmes who are currently working on their coaching assignments and are due to receive their certificates in the not-too-distant future (over 200 people have participated in the programme to date), nor does it include the thousands we have trained to use coaching skills as part of their day to day work.
The variety of organisations represented on our programmes (which are run both in-house and externally) is huge, and it is great to see coaching cultures begin to be implemented in organisations that have previously employed the ‘old style’ of management. These include an international manufacturers whose employees have traditionally been ‘told what to do’, but through experiencing coaching from a manager have become more empowered in their roles, public sector and charitable organisations who wish to make coaching style conversations the norm amongst employees, and a beverages importer/supplier who recognise that having managers as qualified coaches contributes to a wider cultural shift within the organisation to a more participative and empowering style of management that achieves tangible results.
